I live in the Woodley Park area and had walked past Rajaji dozens of times before I stopped in.
Called a month ago to see about reservation for a large business lunch on a weekday at 1pm.

Rajaji kindly hosted my baby shower dinner with 18 people. The staff was very kind and attentive, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Rajaji is now our go-too restaurant for Indian food. Excellent food and very warm service!
The restaurant is nothing fancy, but the food is delicious and the service very friendly. Nice place to eat outdoors, too.
