Golden Leaf Chinese RSTRNT - Waterdown

Chinese take out as you would expect it to be. No surprises. If you've ever had Chinese take out its pretty much all the same. Gold leaf is popular with locals. Ready on time. Reasonable price. Hard to get in and out of during rush hours.

Like many Chinese restaurants, this one caters to takeout. We ordered a dinner for five and were quite impressed with the variety, quality and quantity of food provided. It was the usual Americanized version of Chinese food, which is what most people expect. The vegetables were fresh and not overcooked as so many places tend to do. All of the meat dishes were well portioned and provided good quality cuts. The chicken balls were over battered for my tastes. The lo mein was good and plentiful, as were the honey ribs. The rice was tasty. Although I was only in the restaurant for a few minutes, it looked tidy and the two people serving me were very friendly. The food was ready at the time I'd asked for. Next time I would try some of their specialty dishes to see how they rate.

This has been the go to place for our family for years in Waterdown when you want fast fresh Chinese food. The place has been here since forever and is small. We usually take out! Fast friendly service.

We order take out here all the time and two things, I can say, they are consistent and they are good! The Kung Pao is delicious and I would also recommend their dry wings and their Cantonese Chow Mein. I think it's all really great value and if you pay cash, they knock 5% off the bill. Can't go wrong if you're looking for some great take out in Waterdown
