Maggie's Ontheriver - Watertown

I love Maggie's. The food is always hot, delicious and plentiful. Great for pub food. The staff are personable. I've been here for dinner with parents, date nights, and nights out and have never been disappointed. Great view on the river. The patio is beautiful!

Nice bar and grill style restaurant. Attentive service, diverse menu and good food. Tons of choices of beers and wines for all tastes. They apparently have roughly 50 plus beers on tap. After we ate dinner outside we sat inside where we enjoyed the live music. They were great.

GO UPSTAIRS. The atmosphere upstairs is amazing. the building is old brick, its nice a dim lighted, and the views of the river are spectacular. downstairs its a bar, so unless you are just a drinker go upstairs to enjoy the restaurant. everytime I have gone there have only been a couple other people up there. my wife and I felt like the place was our own. get the snakebite pasta, or any other pasta its great.

Burger Heaven. I've been to Maggie's quite a few times and each time I go I try a different burger. I have not been disappointed once. The burger itself is always cooked perfectly and is a good portion size. Beyond the burgers, every app I've tried has been very good, the seared tuna is my favorite. It's hard to find a place that does seared tuna right...and they do! Plus they have a ton of different draft beers which keeps me from getting bored with the same old domestics most places around here have. My favorite week night to go down is on tuesday's for trivia, it's always a good time. I would say I'm a pretty honest critic when it comes to restaurants and I am telling you, you won't be disappointed.

The best food in this town...... My daughter and I went to Maggie's today for lunch (3/10/12) and the food was fantastic.....I give them 5 stars out of 5 stars. We started with the crazy combo appetizer, I had the ultimate turkey club and my daughter had the Tuscan chicken flat bread and we shared the fried Twinkie desert and it was all awesome. The atmosphere was calming, yet energetic. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive. Their menu is so different than anything I have seen in this town. We came from a city that has all kinds of different foods and we were really disappointed that there wasn't anything like what we were used to here…… well the search is over and we will go back. I highly recommend Maggie's on the river.
