I stumbled upon this charming pub by chance, as it is located on a quiet street outside of the main town center. The Lamb is definitely worth a visit, as it is a very welcoming pub with a friendly landlord named Dave. It seems to be a popular spot for locals, but also attracts some passing trade from the main A31 road. They have a great selection of ales, spirits, wines, and even coffee – I had a fabulous cappuccino during my last visit. The pub also offers a variety of savory snacks and chocolates. You can catch live sports on the numerous TV screens throughout the pub. My partner and I frequent The Lamb regularly and have never been disappointed with the service. With the current Covid pandemic, this pub could really use your support to avoid closure. It would be a shame to see this establishment go under.
I used to frequent this restaurant a lot when I was younger. I came back for Christmas with some friends and we decided to give it another visit. It is still as nice and cozy as I remember, and the service is good too.
The restaurant has a pleasant exterior, but the interior is dark and uninspiring. There is only one Shepherd Neame ale on tap (Master Brew), which was a disappointment. The place could use a makeover.
Friendly staff, good beer exceptionally clean toilets!! Always have an amazing time here. Stones throw from the station.
