Unfortunately over the last 12 18 months the store has really gone down hill... Our regular visits went to monthly visits, then out to random on the way home or no other option visits. The last two visits confirmed the franchise at Welland has lost its shine.. Portions have become very small. There is no Ginger, no Wasabi, no condiments unless you beg the staff, napkins are no where to be found... Service is all over the place, tonight the staff argued that we were wrong and that we ordered the wrong thing... even when there Ipad ordering system showed we were right, picutres and all.. The quality has gone down hill... Fish was... dry and old tasting, almost like it had been frozen.. Tuna was very dark, like the bloodline dark.. The Rice on a couple of dishes was well over cooked.. The basic tuna rolls and kid friendly chicken rolls seem to be lacking alot of what they used to be... noticeably smaller, rushed and average presentation..bases covered in sauce... that you couldnt see till lifting of the plate.. For us we won't be back... Sushi Hiro at the Port... Sushi train at St Clare both are so much better..
Very disappointed in dinner experience tonight. After long wait for table, we were seated a long away from the train which meant we had to order our meal through the iPad provided. The only thing was, many of the meals we ordered never arrived, or we were told what we had ordered was sold out. As I was sick of waiting for food, I stood up and walked over to the train, only to be told to sit down by the worker. I expressed my concern rather ‘bluntly’ that no food was arriving and that the service was slow and his answer was that “we are busy”. Yes, you were busy catering for all of the Uber Eats orders you had lined up; your dine in guests were clearly not a priority. Maybe this is a sign of the times. Sushi Train at Welland is overrated sushi, not a good variety and is very expensive. Similar experiences at Sushi Train Adelaide. You are better off going to a Japanese restaurant in Gouger St. I will never go back to Sushi Train.
This is my little nephews fav place to dine that one of them even swallowed his first tooth with his sushi!! All sushi items are great but the ramen is not of freshly made noodles .
Best sushi train in Adelaide. Their plates range accordingly from $3-$5 in price and the food is always fresh and hot (even off the train as they have such a high turnover rate). This place is always packed and their food is great.
My wife and I visit this place quite a lot we like it because it is always the freshest ingredients and the staff are so awesome. My only fault would be seating bit crampy as your shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you, unless you get a booth but the wait is so long for a booth sometimes.
