I ordered a 'Go bananas' waffle to go and it was an excellent choice! The presentation and flavor were fantastic, and it was filling enough for both me and my partner when we shared. The combination of fresh banana and Nutella was delicious, and the banana ice cream on the side was even better - it tasted so natural, not artificial at all! I will definitely return to try more items on the menu.
I was impressed by the wide variety of ice cream flavors available at this restaurant. Despite being busy, the staff were very efficient and the customers didn't seem to mind waiting because the selection was so good. There is a small seating area, but on a nice sunny day, people can also walk around to alleviate any pressure on seating. I highly recommend visiting this place and giving it a try.
Having had mixed responses about here, we decided to try it for ourselves. The desserts were to die for, absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, especially a lad called Ed who was really bubbly and cheerful. Will definatly go back again soon.
I took my daughter to Gelato Joe's, as a treat, but I was distinctly underwhelmed by the service and by the product. I ordered a waffle, with strawberry ice cream and strawberries, which I had seen on another lady's plate and thought looked good. However, when mine arrived, it was nothing like what I'd seen on her plate. there was less of everything except the waffle itself. My daughter had a crepe. She cannot eat creme, so I told them she couldn't have the whipped cream and was offered a scoop of vanilla ice cream as a substitute. That seemed fine, until I found that they had charged me £1.40 for a single scoop of vanilla ice cream! I'd not go again. Having been to another ice cream parlour, in Eastbourne, recently, this experience has shown me that Gelato Joe's is definitely not a good example of the genre
