When ordering the tofu pad they make sure to tell them that it has fish oil in it. this can be because of the complaining of people, but that proved to me to be really superior to their vegetarian vegan customers. they have many possibilities for tofu dishes and explicitly say what vegans can and can have.
I have been going to this restaurant for over a decade and always get the vegetarian pad-thai that is on the menu. I just found out that it contains fish sauce, although it is listed as vegetarian. the owner confirmed that it always had fish sauce in it. I would make her courts clear!
Not a beautiful place on any wise, but I always had fine service and good eating in the last few years. is overcrowded during lunch and dinner. most dishes can be made with tofu as protein. the pra ram is delicious.
This is a decent Thai place. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this over Thai Essence, but it is near home so I eat there often. There are a number of options just tell them you want it 'vegan'. I usually get pad kee mow or pad gra prow. Others often get preawan or some other thing. All are pretty good. I feel bad giving it a 3, because it is better than a lot of non thai 3 star places.. but it is significantly lower quality than the other Thai place in town. If you really want something spicy you can ask for the ground chili powder. When fresh, it may be the hottest thing you'll ever be given sans disclaimer at a restaurant.
