The bacon and egg sandwich I ordered was practically inedible after just one bite. The delivery driver, Al Lewis, had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, and Yvonne De Carlo's hair was black but her face looked melted. Fred Gwynne, the chef, was quick with the orders but the overall attitude of the staff was unfriendly. The lingering greasy smell clung to my clothes until I washed them at home. I would recommend avoiding this place as the food was subpar.
Paying £13 for 4 rolls is just as unappetizing as the appearance of the car they were delivered in, with cigarette ash spilling out of the driver's door! To make matters worse, adding onions to the sausage rolls costs a whopping pound extra! Additionally, be sure to place your order well in advance as orders take a frustratingly long 3 days to arrive!!!
This charming café/bistro may be easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Located on a main road, you'll need to park in the square opposite or a bit further up. However, it's definitely worth the visit to stop and spend some time here. Upon entering, you'll find comfortable seating options, including tables with checked tablecloths. They also offer a selection of cocktails, although I visited in the morning. The menu has a good variety, including breakfast options like breakfast rolls. They also offer a 'phone in' order service. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, making me want to return to try more dishes from the menu.
