The location is within the downtown area and it's very cute, comfortable, and quaint inside. The menu was very limited, but I don't know if it always is, or because it was the middle of the COVID pandemic. There was basically one of two sandwiches to choose from, a soup, or one of two salads. Prices were extremely reasonable! I ordered a cup of the corn chowder and the pulled pork sandwich, that comes with kettle chips. Food was wonderful, fresh, and healthy. The chips and bread were both fresh made. Portions were large and I ended up taking a to-go bag with half my meal with me. One of my coworkers ordered a prince of the freshly made carrot cake and we all shared it. It was excellent, and not overly sweet. The owner is French and attentive but a little off-putting. I only say this because I read an earlier review that specifically mentioned him. I thought he was entertaining.
A nice place. Very limited menu and the few entrees are done well. Staffing should be upped during events in Wharton. An hour for salad orders is not ok. No one at our table ever received tea refills. Cheese tray needed help. I've been out to Lirra Rossa several times. I've sampled their varieties. Got 6 sticks on my plate of only one cheese on a cheese board. No charcuterie but would have been nice. The lasagna was outstanding. Hit and miss. My yelp is to try this place.
Wonderful food service!!! Fresh yummy food. My grilled chicken panini had kale and heirloom tomatoes. My daughter had the Reuben on marbled rye. Home made chips! Others in our group loved their food too. I definitely plan to return to antique shop in the square and lunch here again.
Very cute little restaurant and amazing service! A co worker and I stumbled across it while working out of town and had to give it a try. We had the deviled egg trio for starter, they were delicious! We then had the salad and soup combo. The tomato basil soup was great and paired with fresh baked bread. I had the strawberry avocado salad, the only thing negative I can say was that the dressing was a little too sour for my tasting, but other than that everything was perfect. I will definitely come back again when I am in the area.
Wow, what a breath of fresh air this place is for Wharton TX, where dining choices are very limited, and are somewhat mediocre and redundant : BBQ or Mexican. Farm to table vegetables and local meats are served at the Provisions. As of now, they are only open for lunch take-out orders, and it is a limited menu. Today's Lunch Menu has 4 items out of which I picked two: BBQ Flat Bread, which was full of flavor, but was smaller than what I expected. Disappointed because for a price of almost $9 incl tax. Spinach Salad with shaved radishes, pickled onion, shaved apples, pecans and goat cheese was great. Spinach was perfectly fresh and juicy, and so was the rest. I enjoyed it a lot. I am looking forward to their grand opening and trying out items from their full menu.
