Rang in for a collection order for chicken house special box, I specifically asked for the chips to be in a separate box AND well done. Collected the order got to the house and chips were in the same box as the rest of the food, despite of requesting it to be in a separate one and willing to pay for the extra box. When we rang up, the man on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional, was constantly interrupting on the phone and would not let us speak. He ended up crediting £5 on the next order. If you cannot complete a request, don’t agree to it on the phone. As for the man on the phone, calling himself “the boss” id strongly recommend learning some basic manners when speaking to the customer on the line.

Don't know how they can state number 1 take away in Sunderland. I have had some bad take aways but this is the worst I have had. If i could do 0 star, that's what it would get. This was worst take away I have had since moving to sunderland 2 years ago. The pizza was as dry as sandpaper, hardly any topping on. The parmo just tasted of dirty greese, deep fried chicken (most was bread crumbs) with some cheese melted on top, chips were cold and looked like they had been cooked three times over and tasted of dirt greese also. The chicken shwarma wrap if that what you can call it, didn't look. Like chickem to me, small shredded brown meat. Even the dog turned his nose up to it and he eats anything.

I have used Berti's a lot over the years and noticed that the food was going downhill. I ordered tonight, it took 1hr 40 mins to arrive, the pizza was cold and had the tiniest bit of chicken on, the chips were cold and and burnt, the pitta was that dry you couldn't do anything with it as it just broke apart. Sorry Berti's but we won't be ordering again
