We arrived a few minutes before they opened but they were quick to welcome us and get us started on the options. Once you enter there is a counter where you order with a menu on the wall as well as a board with lunch specials. I got the spaghetti with marinara which also came with a substantial salad and garlic bread sticks. There are several rooms for seating with both booths as well as tables. The decor is very fun and festive and definitely Coke oriented! We weren't seated too long before our meals were brought to the table, and things were hot and fresh and smelled wonderful. My spaghetti was an ample portion with a lot of sauce which I mopped up with the tasty bread. The rest of the party are their food with gusto so I'm assuming they liked it. It is a fun spot for a quick lunch or dinner and they had lots of options for hot sandwiches or cooked food.
To start off we can walked in the door and thought it was cool looking inside with all the Coca-Cola items. Then noticed it was pretty warm inside. Then asked the lady at the counter if we order from the counter. Her counter was not for pizza orders it was for the other stuff like sandwiches and pasta. She just said go in there for pizza. So we thought she meant go sit down. Only 2 other tables occupied. Seen 2 teenage girls working/ talking to a customer. No one acknowledged us. We sat there for a good while then my mom decided to go order a sandwich so she walked to the front counter and ordered and found out that there was a back counter. We was suppose to know that you couldn 't see it. So I ordered my pizza and sat back down. Meanwhile breaking a sweat and face turning red. the pizza came I really liked the crust but hated the sauce on the . My mom really likes the sandwich she ordered. If I go back I will have to get no sauce or very little. Oh and the fountain pop machine on the sprite was confusing too. It had a arrow that said push for sprite but doing that tasted like carbonated water or something so I pushed it and pushed the normal silver bar at the same time still didn 't taste quite right.
We live just across the street from Kacey's but only eat here about once or twice a year. The pizza is great as well as the pasta and sandwhiches but they are overpriced and portions are pretty small. If you decide to eat here they only take cash so make sure you dont order and show up with only your debit or credit card. The atmosphere is cool and reminds you of an old soda shop.
Listen I LOVE supporting local businesses, but it is important when businesses at least attempt to keep up with the current century. We are big fans of a local pizza place, so it has taken us awhile to make a point to try Kaceys. We made plans to order take out. The menu online has no prices so I called, explained to the lady on the phone we had never ordered from them and wondered if she could explain their prices. She was kind and thorough, but never mentioned they ONLY TAKE CASH!!! We showed up to pick up our pizza. Mind you we live less than 2 miles from Kacey's. We arrive only to find out that don't take bank cards. The lady at the restaurant told us there was an ATM next door, but we didn't want to pay the bank fee so we hoped in the car ant drove 4 miles to Franklin to our bank to get cash. We turned around, came back only for the same cashier to tell us if we would've used to ATM next door they would've discounted our bill by the bank fee we were charged!!!! The pizza was pretty good, but honestly the lack of convenience will probably end up in us never going back. It might have a lot to do with why a cute restaurant like this place is, with good food only had 4 tables occupied on a Friday night.
The pizza is delicious! However, I've waited over 15 minutes past my pick up time (more then 3 times) on lunch which has caused my lunch break to be over when I got back to work. I always call with 40 minutes to cook my pizza. I recommend calling in 45-50 minutes before you need it picked up.
