This place does the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. Staff are so friendly and make such good food.

Hobsons Bay Fish and Chip shop has stood the test of time for a reason - while other shops have closed, this one continues to thrive. Locals consistently flock to this busy spot for lunch and dinner, as they trust the establishment's quality and value. Despite the competition from trendy new FnC shops offering "panko crumbed fish" or "soft shell crab," Hobsons Bay still reigns supreme with the best value for money when it comes to Fish and Chips. The chips are consistently crispy and not greasy, and the service is quick.

Best battered fish I have ever had. Good burgers as well as dim sims, potato cakes and nice chips. Well priced too. My fo to for fish and chips.

The fish pieces were fresh and generously portioned. The batter was crunchy without being too heavy or thin. The potato cakes were a bit lackluster. The $6 chips were enough to feed five of us. There weren't many options for meal box combinations, but overall, I would go back again.

Love this place. My in-laws have been coming here since they were young. It's our go to fish and chip shop. The flake is raved about in the family. And not being a seafood eater myself I love their potato cakes and chicken schnitzel burgers.
