I can't thank the team enough for an amazing afternoon, the room looked fantastic when we arrived, with a roaring fire going which definitely added to the festive feel! All of our pre-ordered food came out correctly and on time and seemed to go down a treat! Would definitely recommend the space and venue for a function with a bigger group, the team were also so helpful in the lead up to the event! Thanks again for an excellent day!
I haven’t been for a while , always loved it but sadly after today’s experience will not be returning. Food very poor, tea hardly warm and very weak, poached eggs cold, sausage pale and uninviting, bacon was hard……..all in all extremely disappointing and not worth £97 at all.
Popped by for breakfast and was greeted by a lovely lady who seated us took our drinks and food order promptly. The **** Mary was amazing and the chorizo and eggs were delicious. Definitely recommend
We visited today for a special birthday gathering I must confess after reading recent reviews I was a bit worried! we travelled from various places round the country used Gogos as a central meeting point all I can say us wow! yes it appears the menu has recently shrunk but their was still a good choice with 10 of us eating there were no complaints could maybe do with a couple more veggie options would be my only comment. The food when it arrived was beautifully cooked presented. Service was good, staff were attentive friendly, nothing was too much trouble! beware the 'cake policy ' though apparently you can take a birthday cake they will present it to the birthday person, but you are not allowed to eat it on site! this must be a fairly new thing as one of the staff seemed to momentarily forget was horrified that they 'd brought the cake out but no plates we reminded him he said oh yeah, the cake policy and just smirked! no big thing to us really, but worth knowing about!
Against my better judgement we gave GOGOS a second try after a previous disappointing visit. 4 o’clock on a sunny Friday afternoon and a drink by the river sounded like a good idea. The restaurant was understandably far from busy and there were roughly a dozen people sat outside. We were given a drinks menu from the bar and took a seat outside. We waited and then we waited some more but no server to be seen. We waited a little longer and then a little longer still, no server. We decided to cut our losses and leave returning the menus to the chap behind the bar. The barman literally just grunted, couldn’t even be bothered to speak, as we explained why we were leaving. My fault I suppose I should have read the recent reviews.
