The Wok - Wollanig

We're here for a special lunch with friends. It was a bit more expensive than expected, but the selections were excellent. Any kind of meat and fish you can imagine was available for grilling. They even choose from a variety of marinades to be grilled. There was also a large buffet of typical Asian dishes. Everything was delicious! The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, with lots of natural light.

Visited this place yesterday, and the buffet is refilled regularly, the drinks are nice and cold, but the only thing I criticize is the spices. The Gongbao and the other spicy sauces are not sharp at all.

As someone traveling alone in different countries, it is always nerve to visit new places. I went in and the place was super busy. Nobody welcomed me. I went to the bar and asked if I could just sit or what. The bartender ignored me. Finally, someone said I could sit everywhere. After a few minutes I got a menu. Then I sat for another ten before I finally gave up and left. The place was incredibly disorganized. Unfriendly. Terrible. Dirty tables everywhere. Don't go here.

On a rainy day we have found this Chinese restaurant. The food was very tasty and hot : and the waitress was nice as well

Das war ein unerwartetes Highlight. Weniger wegen des Essens auf gutem chinesischen Niveau. Sondern wegen eines langen Gesprächs mit der gut deutsch sprechenden Chefin, die uns tiefe Einblicke in das Leben einer chinesisch-österreichischen Geschäftsfrau gab. Völlig unverhofft und ungeheuer freimütig - in positiver und negativer Beziehung. Wir waren beeindruckt. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Das Personal, wohl Familienangehörige, versuchten schon um 21.20 Uhr uns Gästen den Verbleib schwer zu machen mit dem Hinweis, dass die Küche gleich zumache. Und das am Wochenende und obwohl die Öffnungszeit "bis 22 Uhr" am Eingang genannt war. Stimmte dann ja auch nicht. Wir haben dann noch gut gegessen und uns unterhalten. Dank der tollen Chefin.
