They also have considerable and very tasty bbq sandwiches: pulled boar, tri-tip, mix and some other dinge. as I remember, they also have some things as if, but I didn't try them. for the bbq they can buy to go or if happy with them sit on one of two picnic tables. the prices are excellent for all BBQ items. they can get dessert and wein also at a place. service is friendly and personal is simply great and knowledgeable. highly recommended.
Let me begin by saying that I've been coming to Jim's Fallbrook Market since I was a lad of seven, back in 1958. Jim's was one of the only markets in the area that had a butcher shop. I still live in the area and while I don't visit the market as often as I should, I was in need of some special meat for a BBQ smoke I am doing for some friends. I placed my order so it would be ready for pick up later in the week. It was a pleasure to deal with people who are knowledgeable, and very friendly; willing to go the extra distance to make the order just right. That kind of service is from a bygone era. How refreshing it was to revisit a familiar market and still receive the same dedicated service I remember as a young boy.
NEW owners as of several months ago. We've lived in the area for 40 years...sad to see Mike go...but congratulations to him! No fanfare, no good byes....just what seems to be a seamless transition. New faces...with smiles and friendly. Same great service, same great meats and seafood....and maybe the lack of announcement of new owners was the best. If I didn't know Mike was selling I never would have thought about it. JIM's has been a mainstay in the neighborhood...and from all I've seen...will continue to be the same old neighborhood, friendly, high quality Jim's Fallbrook Market we all love......Welcome to the new ownership. You have purchased a piece of local history.
This is your go to market for fish and meat. They also got some great produce and some farmers market goodies. The bbq outside on the weekends is amaaaaazing. We love to do the tacos of either tri tip or chicken with the Hawaiian cole slaw. Place is always clean food is always fresh and staff is super nice!
This place is infested with rats. The loafs of bread had holes in it from rats eating it, same with the fruits and vegetables. I purchased multiple pounds of shrimp and half the time they where bad. The BBQ is never consistent or even consistent on their schedule.
