Feedback gevenNot good! We have eaten at Kani House in the past (pre and post covid) and it was fine. Our last visit was well below par. The host and hostess were simply rude. I understand that getting quality help in this economy is difficult, but come on... No, they were not even busy. Perhaps some training in customer service. Or... even some mentoring on how to talk to people... patrons. Anyway... I went to the restroom and my shoes were sticking to the floor. I had a gut feelingthat if we ate there, the rest of my weekend would be bad... very very bad, so we left.
Came with a party of 8 for my daughters birthday tonight. Told them it was her birthday multiple times. Not sure if we got the newbie but service was terrible. No refills. Had to ask several times for things. Cleared our own plates. They did birthday songs all around up and I had to ask them several times to sing for our daughter. For $300 we could have received much better service elsewhere.
I had to send back my food multiple times because it contained milk. Each time it was brought to me, I made sure to ask if it was prepared without butter or margarine, and each time I received a clear response on how it was cooked. Eventually, the manager came over and was very rude, insisting that they do not cook without milk. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Our party of six enjoyed dinner tonight. Our server, Kaitlin, was fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and very competent. The food was excellent, with large scallops, tender steak, cold and fresh salad, and tasty fried rice. The manager even came by our table. We will definitely be back.
