The Bridge Tea Rooms - Wroxham

Such a wonderful find across from the boat rental and boat tours at the bridge in Wroxham. This restaurant is beautiful and the patio seating couldn't be better, looking out at all of the boats in the harbor by the bridge with so many swans and beautiful cottages and homes to look out at across the Broads. You order inside and they deliver it to your table. The service was not spectacular but not bad. So thankfully the wonderful food made up for it! We had some wonderful French onion soup and prawns to start and then moved on to some spectacular scallops and a bacon and brie sandwich, talk about heaven! Our cousins had a burger and said it was wonderful with the best chips ever (fries) to us crass Americans lol. We were very full after adding a fish and chips which was yummy but my daughter insisted on bringing home a thick slice of their homemade coconut cake! Sorry people, pictures to follow.

Considering the website states you're open until 11, we were surprised to get there at 8:30 to be met by a miserable looking woman looking at her watch then looking at us before sending a young girl over to tell us theyre closed. As a local I would've been likely to use this place with my family a few times a month through the year, not just summer. However after this quite frankly rude experience I shan't bother. Went over to the smokehouse at the station instead where we were welcomed by friendly staff who were happy to seat us. Disappointed at best.

Walked into empty restaurant, to be informed they were fully booked at 4.30pm, was not impressed. Walk in trade I feel will be what heps build this place,being as its sat right by the river,
