Feedback gevenToday, my group visited The Shed for breakfast and we were very pleased with the food. The waitresses, who were young and friendly, provided excellent service with a smile. The Shed has a cozy and relaxing atmosphere, making it feel like a home away from home. If you enjoy delicious food in a laid-back setting, I highly recommend making a reservation at The Shed.
I arrived at 12:30 on Sunday, December 3rd for the carvery, but there were no signs of meat and the room was freezing. I ordered a coffee, which took 10 minutes to arrive. People who had booked a table for 1:00 arrived, and the meat finally came out at 1:05, but the chef started to fill takeaway orders into containers instead. Everyone present was complaining about the long wait, and some people even left because of it. By 1:30, I went to the chef, who was still working on takeaway orders and told me he had 5 more to complete. We decided to leave at that point. It was a complete mess - the restaurant needs to prioritize its customers over takeaways and improve its service. 30 customers were left waiting as a result of this poor management.
I initially tried to contact the restaurant by phone, but after ten unsuccessful attempts, I gave up. I decided to visit the cafe in person to check it out before planning to go with friends. However, after receiving almost no customer service, we will be dining elsewhere.
Popped in for a cup of coffee while on at work. Service wasn’t great. Only one table occupied but the member of staff behind the counter said she was busy and another member of staff saw us standing at counter and came from sitting at a table and served. Advertised breakfasts and food looked good value but didn’t have time to eat. Coffee was ok, reasonably priced and brought to the table. Would like to try The Shed again and visit their farm shop if I have more time. Place was clean and tidy. 3 stars for less than average service initially.
Fantastic value for money, we love going for tea breakfast after a dog walk. Great quality food. Would have been 5 stars but the front of house girl on the counter has zero customer service skills looks at you like a bad smell.
