Lovely pies, polite helpful staff. Cosy atmosphere! Loved it. Nice choices on the menu, and nice ales.

This pub is a little off the beaten track but well worth the effort. My friend and I were lucky to get a table before Christmas without a reservation. The real ale was decent, and my pirate pie was humongous — and very tasty! Lovely morsels of beef, veg and gravy left me feeling stuffed. My friend had one of the smaller pies which he enjoyed as well. Good job.

Were invited by friends to visit and sample this local Gem. Warmly welcomed by 2 wonderful girls who could not do enough to make our visit enjoyable. Wonderful food, drink and hospitality. I even got a Shamrock on my Guinness!!! Great night and Highly recommend

Lovely cosy atmosphere good selection of beers and spirits, friendly staff and food is incredible!! great portions and very fair prices, will definitely come again!

Came in as we were passing, lovely atmosphere, pleasant staff, and so much history here! Food was phenomenal, arrived quickly and piping hot, the ‘Angry Pirate’ pie was easily enough for 2 people and the kids were over the Moo(n) with their pies! Props to the team, cannot recommend this place enough, will be a regular spot for us for sure!
