Xiào Zhù - 土庄町

I chose Sakaya in Olive Island because it had great reviews! The owner was there with his grandfather and a part-time worker. The owner’s sister also helped out. There are about 6 or 7 seats at the counter, and is there a second floor? It was a weekday when I visited, and I was there with two people but we were three in total. The food was delicious, and the fried dishes were prepared quickly. The owner was a bit shy, but when I asked about the menu, he was happy to explain. I went alone, and the distance between the tables felt just right! Thank you for the wonderful experience on Olive Island! It was a delightful feast of flavors.

Cash only, counter seating only. I hesitated to go in, but I was surprised to find a range of dishes that were both affordable and high-quality. Next, I'm heading to Shodoshima.
