I ordered the Choraku bento, which included tempura, simmered vegetables, and taro dishes. The tempura was also delicious and the portion size was just right. They have a drink bar, so you can linger a bit. It is also the departure point for the Kinoshita Sake Brewery cave tour. In the shop, they sell "Ryu" sake and homemade tofu, so sake lovers can enjoy a two-in-one shopping experience. I heard that the same lineup of shops has recently been opened at the airport.
This restaurant, more like a cafeteria, uses locally produced Tanimo from Kin Town in their dishes. The naturally sweet Tanimo is delicious. If you're trying it for the first time, go for the Tanimo set meal.
I had the simmered pork set meal, but my family tried the tuna and salmon roe bowl and it was delicious! The other customers around us were all eating set meals with tempura, so maybe that was the recommendation. We also sampled the sweet potato pie, sweet potato cheesecake, and sweet potato steamed buns, but the sweet potato cheesecake was the best. The sweet potato itself was like a sticky taro with a mild flavor yet slightly unique taste. The restaurant has a nice view of the ocean and the staff were friendly, so it's worth a visit if you want to enjoy Okinawa. After the meal, my children had fun picking up corals and sea glass on the clear sandy beach in front of the restaurant.
