I visited a restaurant called Ta Imo in Kin Town on June 1, 2022. As a specialty of the town, I tried the taro pie and taro choux and they were delicious. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience.

I love sweet potato desserts, so I was always curious about Marmelo, a café I passed by often. Upon entering, I was greeted by the sweet aroma of pie crust. The interior was decorated with many lucky cat and cat photos, and even the wrapping paper had cute cat illustrations, showing their love for cats. Everything was reasonably priced, and while the cheesecake and other pies looked delicious, this time I purchased two sweet potato pies and one sweet potato choux pastry. Honestly, the sweet potato choux pastry didn't have a strong sweet potato flavor, but it was tasty. The sweet potato pie that I had been wanting to try for a long time had a crispy crust and paired perfectly with the sweet potato filling! It was the most delicious sweet potato pie I've ever had! However, I later realized that the old man who served me had made a mistake in the calculation and charged me for two sweet potato choux pastries instead of one. I had already paid with PayPay and didn't want to wait, so I decided to consider the extra 150 yen as a thank-you fee. It may have been an uncommon mistake, but it might be a good idea to double-check the calculation next time. The pies were truly delicious, so I will definitely return to buy more.

Whenever I stop by the Egani Service Area on the Okinawa Road, I always see them selling "Taimo Pie". The mysterious and cute cat character on the packaging always catches my eye and I end up buying it. When I visited Kin Town, I finally found the store! The same cat character was there, and the cozy atmosphere of the shop was soothing. Inside, there were many different types of sweets. The Taimo Pie is like a cream puff, with a smooth and delicious cream filling. I always buy Taimo Pie at the service area, so next time I want to extend my visit to try other types of sweets sold at the store! The last photo is of the Egani Service Area.

田芋パイ、紅芋パイともに甘すぎずとても美味しかったです。 日持ちはしませんが手土産にもちょうど良いと思います。 何より、パッケージのキャラが最高。
