The grandmother who runs the place is very friendly and handles both the cooking and customer service. During lunchtime, there is no menu and you are asked if you want grilled fish or simmered fish. The photos on the walls showed simmered flounder and a fish called "Genge." The person next to me ordered grilled fish and it looked delicious. At one point, the grandmother offered us a piece of fish to try. She also mentioned that rice refills were available. All this for 900 yen. I highly recommend this place for delicious home-cooked meals.
I had a set meal for dinner! When I asked for sashimi in my set meal, I got octopus, herring, octopus, alfonsino, and turban shell all lined up! Salmon marinated in salt koji, simmered herring, and rolled omelette. The homemade dishes were delicious and I was really full! The soup broth was so tasty that I didn't want to waste a drop. Definitely going back to this cozy and welcoming place! Thank you for the feast! I'll be back soon! ^^
My family and I enjoyed the sablefish simmered set meal, ginger grilled set meal, and surf clam fry. The portions were generous and delicious.
