I had the char siu ramen, which had tender pork belly with a strong salty flavor but deliciously seasoned. The noodles were medium-thin and straight, with just the right firmness. The soup seemed to be pork bone, but when I asked the woman, she said it was a mix of pork bone, chicken bones, fish, seaweed, vegetables, and various other ingredients that she has been using for a long time. It had a nostalgic and easy-to-drink delicious taste. The restaurant used to be affiliated with a butcher shop so there was some extra service in the past, but now that she is alone, she is unable to offer as much. As I was leaving, she gave me a small treat of potapota yaki. The taste and price were both great, a restaurant that is doing its best.
The ramen and chashu bowl set for 750 yen is very reasonable! We also received a small snack at the time of payment. Thank you for the delicious meal.
Even though the cold weather is lingering after the peak of winter, I came to have lunch at "Ajitei Sanbariki" in Kanemitsu-cho on a cloudy day. It's within walking distance from JR Kanemitsu Station! The restaurant has a long space, with a 4-seater table right by the entrance and a counter seat in front of the kitchen. The menu is displayed on the wall right at the entrance. I ordered the "daily set menu (650 yen)", which included a choice of soy sauce or salt ramen and a small ginger pork bowl. The mother cooked efficiently in the kitchen, and it arrived in just about 10 minutes. The ginger pork was not mini-sized but a regular portion. The soy sauce ramen had a slightly sweet soup but a mild taste. The noodles were medium thin straight, the familiar yellow noodles with the perfect water content. The three small-sized slices of pork char siu had a good balance of fat and were quite delicious. The other ingredients were bamboo shoots and green onions. The hot ginger pork, cooked by the mother in a pan, on top of rice... the sauce blended well and tasted great. It was a regular-sized portion, not mini-sized, and it paired well with the soy sauce ramen. This set only cost 650 yen, so it offers great value for money! I'll try the fried chicken bowl set next time.
