We didn't expect a lot of a Mexican joint in Colombia connected to an out of control backpack hostel. We got a lot of what we expected. The food was certainly not the worst we ever had, but not where close to the best (especially in this neighborhood filled with big, cheap finds). The pork tacos and nachos ordered. Not much more to say about it. If you are a taco lover like me and only need your repair (even if it is a poor taco), this will do. Otherwise, spend your time and money elsewhere.
We were looking for nice Mexican food and found this place on travel advisors. I wouldn't come back here again, it just seems high for nothing. We had tacos that were served cold when we asked to heat it up, he said no, and they do it here... how bad. But even worse was the nachos, with cold, unmelted cheese over it. Just disgusting.
The food did not live up to the recommendations we had received. Although the fillings were tasty (albeit 'mucha fria ' the portion size was pathetic for 10000 COP. We received a half a tablespoon of each topping, leaving the moderately-sized burrito bowl only half full. Even more ridiculously, the 'burrito ' was rolled into a ball using a technique I 've only ever seen under-8s employ. Why even bother? Save your money, dining here isn 't an enjoyable or filling experience.
I have been here for four months and can honestly say the burritos at RedMoon are worth a try. They are filling, delicious and great value. I eat them almost everyday! The parties on Fridays are really nice, live music and tasty mexican cocktails. Two thumbs up guys!
