Restaurante La Perla Negra

Would recommend a visit to this restaurant on the outskirts of CARTAGENA directly north of the airport and located on the beach in La Boquilla. Excellent seafood, pasta and meat dishes. The restaurant is located on the beach with stunning views of CARTAGENA and the warm Caribbean sea. Beautiful staff and a great team in the kitchen serves traditional Colombian dishes. Defiantly worth a visit and cheap.

I drove my bike 12 km from the Laguito neighborhood in Cartagena to taste this restaurant. And the reward was worth it. Although I would recommend taking a taxi or bus to this place (I was warned several times to go certain directions, I was told it was too dangerous). I had the big red snapper that came with all fixations and a soup. It was delicious. The prices are fine. A little higher than I expected, but still worth it. But the highlight for me was the service. I was served by a young man named Diego who spoke to me after I had noticed my pathetic Spanish and hunting me at the beach in the sea when he noticed that I had left my cheap earpieces at my table. It was an extraordinary experience. I would highly recommend renting a day of food in La Perla Negra and renting a cabana and enjoying the beach that is popular with locals and not with many tourists.

Recently it went to Cartagena for the first time and had the pleasure of having lunch in La Perla Negra. I loved sitting on the beach and giving you a great view. The food was simple, but delicious. The fish we ate was nicely seasoned.

This is an open air, palapa style restaurant on the beach in La Boquilla, just outside of Cartagena.. There is a second story that has a nice view of the ocean and beach, with a refreshing breeze off of the ocean. Their specialty is seafood. We had whole fried fish, snapper fillet, and garlic shrimp. All were very good. The service was good. Prices were reasonable. We were there for a late lunch.

The food, the service, the decor..this restaurant had them all! Even the bathroom was clean and lovley...Should definetly be on your must do dinner there list!
