Our group of 13, starting the Camino; just chanced on this first night we had tapas, and the waitress (Maria? more or less made the choices. Fantastic Crianza wine, lots of different items and it just kept coming.. until we had to say stop. Then out come complimentary digestifs, a toasted flavour like fruit brandy, and a coffee one. And the bill we double checked as it was such good value. As a result we went back twice more and ate proper meals. The highlight was the waitress; despite very little English, she joked, coaxed and suggested menu items. Highly recommended
Were tired and fancied some place local. Hotel suggested we head for the Old Town but we wanted something close by. Stumbled across this place and loved it, as often you do when you don't have high expectations. Friendly staff, good value wine (we loved the Ribiero Trus) and the food. Iberico ham was sensational as was the plate of tomatoes — fabulous! Stayed in A Coruna two nights and had dinner here the first night when we couldn't get into the place in the same street. Don't be put off by first impressions — I was! Quickly warmed to it and even went back the second night for drinks after dinner elsewhere.
