Heineken Gastro Pub - Aalborg

This is a very nice place (the only one ? located in Aalborg's aiport. The design feels new and there is plenty of seating available. They have several beers on tap and offer pub-like food. We tried the french fries and the nacho. Both plates were definitely bigger than what we had expected to be served... and it was really good. There is no table service as you have to order at the bar. They will bring the food to your table when ready, though. The food was brought out quite fast, which is good in an airport restaurant. Would definitely wish all airports had such a place !

Not sure if this is the only restaurant in Aalborg Airport. Usually, I only bought stuff at the duty free shop and sometimes just some drinks from the café at this airport. Anyway, as we arrived too early for check in (I thought it was during Christmas and New Year so maybe it would be very busy during check in, turned out the airport was so quiet!! . So, we decided to sit at the restaurant and had a meal there instead whilst waited for our flight. The foods were actually quite good, freshly made and decent. We all ordered Gastro burgers (I think it cost around DKK139/burger so around £16 £17 for each burger which is a similar cost to some of the burger restaurants here in England but the quality is slightly better , and a few soft drinks. The Gastro burger is with both bacon, cheese, pickled onions, onion rings, tomato chutney, and salad, and is served in a brioche bun, served with homemade fries and garlic mayo or some spices (I think . The place is nice and cozy enough. The staff also friendly. Overall, I personally think its a nice restaurant.
