Bluefin Sushi Gin - Aarhus

We waited more than one hour to get 1/3 of the food we ordered, after another hour we got some more and then the waitress asked us if they should make the rest of the order or not because the kitchen had not started making it even though more than 2 hours had gone by… we got about half the food we ordered from the ad libitum menu and even though we complained we had to pay the full price. I’d never eat here again.

We went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was pretty full so we sat outside. We received part of our order but the appetizers did not come until much later and some things were missing. They never brought our second order and the tablet kept disconnecting. The rolls are almost all rice with hardly any fish. Very disappointing and overpriced. Will not go again.

I will start by saying that the service and waitresses were extremely nice and helpful even though no one asked us if we were okay with the food served or anything else. That is why I am not giving them only one star. I am no Karen and I fully respect their work and amount of stress there must be during busy hours, as I was working in sushi place as well some time ago. But the sushi we were served was just so bad, that there is no excuse especially when the restaurant was already half empty. We cannot even discuss the presentation of the food because such term does not even have meaning in there probably. The big chunks of garlic on the top of nigiri, like the whole garlic clove, sliced. Then the fried onions on top of tuna kaburimaki just destroyed the whole taste of whatever what was good in there. All the rolls where so poorly made that the toping of kaburimaki just felt off all the time. We asked them to exclude or change one ingredient in two rolls and of course it was not even considered and left the same. and overall just what they put inside the rolls was just weird for some of the rolls. It was really the worst sushi I had in Aarhus so far. For the price we paid I am extremely unsatisfied.

We had a great experience on bluefin, with really lovely sushi and great service! Really a recommendable place. Frida was a great host :

The food in the middle. The stars are provided for the good service. We were serviced by Jessica who was enormously sweet and reluctant and made the whole visit very pleasant.
