Globen Flakket - Aarhus

Me and my family visited on a Sunday as part of my birthday celebrations (05Feb23), I had booked previously for the All Inclusive Brunch. We were seated right away, despite being very busy. The table they had prepared for us had a beautiful view and the candles were flickering. The staff member (Emma) was extremely friendly yet professional, asked if we had been before and as we didn't she took the time to explain how it worked. The food was all very good, displayed beautifully and staff were always replenishing. Me and my son had the chance to speak with the chef and we could see she takes pride in her job. Staff were always coming to clear the plates and ask if we needed anything. Yet, as I said above, the place was full. Can't really say if there were vegan/vegetarian options, as we are all meat eaters, but there was so much variety that I'm sure you won't go hungry. I'd definitely return, and would recommend with no hesitation. Thank you all Gliben Flakket for making the start to my birthday so memorable.

Wonderful soup menu Great homemade soups at a good price and plenty of it. We just enjoy the comfort and vibe while the soups were so tasty. Highly recommended for a winter break.

Globen Flakket is perfectly located in the center down to the river. The decor is cozy the staff is sweet and serviceminded. We were 4 for brunch today and the selection was delicious and large. However, it took a long time for drinks (15 min). Some of the dishes expected to be hot were ice cold as they had forgotten to turn on the hotplate and this only happened when we drew attention to it. Bacon fat gets a little firm when it gets cold. But besides the forgetfulness, we enjoyed the visit.

We, a family of five, went there on a Sunday morning for brunch during these corona times, and the overall experience was very good. They serve the buffet in two-hour slots, and we were the very first ones. They maintain distance, cleanliness and hygiene, and so one feels safe. A wide variety of hot and cold dishes with the standard cereals, youghurt, juices, eggs, bacon, sausages, salads, breads, cakes and what not Except for the very dryish scrambled eggs (not to my taste), all other dishes that I tried were very nice, tasty and plentiful even when served in individual portions. The serving staff was friendly and helpful. Please make your scrambled eggs a bit more juicy and runny in the American style.

I’m a local of the area, yet I had never been before. My wife and I went for a brunch a Monday morning at 10. The place is nice and ‘hyggelig’ and the location is great. The place seemed about 25% full so we thought we’d give it a go, as service would probably be quick as there weren’t that many in. We got seated, and ordered quickly. Two coffees, a quinoa porridge (god knows why my wife would order that) and an eggs Benedict. Two dishes that can be done in 15 minutes, as we were quite hungry having skipped breakfast. We waited 15-20 minutes for the coffee. We then waited another 25 minutes waiting for the food. We had drunk all the coffee when I went to the bar and asked the staff how things were going with the food. After the staff communicated a bit back and forth they told me that we were next in line, and they just put on the water for the eggs. Having waited 45 minutes for two simple dishes we chose to pay the hefty 100+ for two coffees and leave for lunch at a local burger joint. So, I can’t tell you if the food is any good. Maybe have a go at it if you have all the time in the world.
