JP's one of our favorite places in Abbeville. The ambiance, the service are all reasons to check this place out. The ownership is hands on and if Jim isn't greeting you when you walk in he might be in the kitchen cooking your rib-eye.

We stayed at the Belmont and decided to have dinner downstairs at JP’s. I had the chicken fried chicken with Okra and mashed potatoes with gravy. The hubs had their Ribeye. Everything was cooked perfectly. The okra was the best I have had in a while. For dessert we had the Key Lime Pie. ABSOLUTE HEAVEN!! This pie was so creamy and smooth. There was none of the tart, suck your cheeks into your face and cry, taste. Hindsight I should have asked if they sold the pies. I definitely will next time! Because I WILL have a next time. The staff was friendly, fast and efficient. I highly recommend you stop by. And don’t forget the Pie!!!!!!

Take your time, sit down and relax. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu but the hamburger steak is especially phenomenal. Looking forward to coming again.
