A&W Restaurant - Abbotsford

I ordered a family-sized portion of sweet potato fries in the drive-thru. When my friend and I tried them, we were disappointed to find that they lacked flavor and tasted very bland. They were not seasoned with salt or any spices. I went back to the restaurant and informed the employee about the issue. He insisted that sweet potato fries are supposed to taste sweet, not salty. I disagreed and insisted that they should have some sort of seasoning. After some back and forth, the employee finally made me a new batch of fries and gave me some chipotle sauce, claiming it was spices. The second batch of fries tasted better with the sauce. It seemed like the employee was reluctant to admit that there was a problem and making new fries was a hassle for him. It was frustrating to deal with his stubbornness. In the end, the fries were enjoyable after the sauce was added.

I am a fan of spicy foods and I am happy to say that they now offer a spicy chicken sandwich that is worth mentioning. I would say it's on par with Wendy's in terms of taste.

The restaurant is poorly managed, unhygienic, and has bad customer service. Despite the good food, the overall experience is ruined by the lack of good customer service.

This location is located in seven Oaks Mall of the four locations in Abbotsford, which is by far the best run and organized, service was also very good.

We stopped at the A&W to use coupons for lunch. The burgers and chips were very good, and hot. Restaurant has been updated and appears very clean. Service was fast and friendly. We will stop here again.
