J S Pizza - Aberdeen

I paid $35 for 2 chicken parm sandwiches. There was bearly any sauce, bread was burned in some spots, and only 1 side of the sandwich had cheese on it. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This is an odd review. I’ve had J&S in South Amboy on my radar for a while now. I love a good Upside Down pie and heard good things about them. But I’m not in the area often when they’re open. So today I was in the area. I go in, order a large upside down. I wait. They gave me a regular cheese pizza. I don’t know if it’s language barrier, maybe the tv blaring and it’s loud, I dunno. Anyways, light airy crust, a bit floppy but bendable. Sweet sauce, tomatoey and not overpowered by garlic etc. Tangy cheese. It’s an average pie, tasty but I wouldn’t go out of my way. Not sure if I’ll make the effort to go back for the upside down, what are the chances it’s in a different league? Should I? EDIT: I’m told the original owners sold the place a few weeks ago and it’s now open under new management with the same name and menu.

Just drove past and it looks like its gone. Hope it isnt true! The vodka pizza was amazing.
