Then it’s an extra $3 to choose bread, $1.25 for the lettuce, $1.25 for tomato, you guessed it, $1.25 across the board for onion, mayo, And SEASONING. They either don’t know, or are complete thieves. $32 half turkey sub? I thought Tony Soprano died…
Average, overpriced food. Got two full subs from the deli counter and the employees couldn't be less welcoming if they tried. Took the order, slowly made the subs then handed it to us without saying anything. Cashier was nice, though.
Ordered catered trays for christmas celebration. Rolantini, chik parm, chik marsala, mussels, antipast. Highly UNrecommended. The marsala tasted like days sauce with old chik TENDER size pieces and mostly sauce (not even good sauce- no wine detected even). Everything was too much sauce and dried chicken. Rolantini was just a mush mess. Mussels were tiny and over cooked with some watery sauce. Antipasta was fine, though unimaginative. 2 stars because i'm not a complete monster.
A colleague of mine gave me a gift card for Livoti’s for Christmas, as this market is near our office. Though I was never a big fan of the place, it’s close to work and I figured Id use the giftcard today towards the purchase of baked goods to serve at my daughter’s little sleepover soiree tomorrow night. Each time I had visited Livoti’s (havent in a while), the deli staff would stick me with at least 1/4 lb more of whatever overpriced/mediocre item (charge per lb) I had requested, most of which Id end up tossing in the trash. After multiple disappointing purchases (both deli and bakery), I stopped going there. Today, the Livoti’s cashier told me that my gift card was invalid and asked if I received a receipt with it, which I did not. The cashier tried to run the card at another register, but the “invalid transaction” message continued, so I ended up paying $25 for 6 lil cupcakes and a handful of lil choc chip cookies, and left with my useless giftcard. When heading back to my office, I regretted not asking to see a manager, but regardless, the experience was unacceptable. The staff should have consulted with a supervisor/manager instead of denying me use of my gift card, as if I were dishonestly attempting to use a null/empty gift card. It was only a $15 GC and there were no customers waiting behind me. Im going to inform the staff at my company of the experience, and will NEVER visit any Livoti’s again. Im certain that the staff at my company (100s of employees) will also boycott this place moving forward. There’s a Shop Rite nearby with better food and customer service anyway.
We visit this area to see family and whenever we come this is one of our first stops. All types of amazing food at great prices. Absolutely love it!
