Great cocktails, beautiful space, very relaxed...what more can you ask for? I really don't want a lot of people to know about it asit will get busy and ruined!!!
I visited here with my friend to take part in their wine tasting evening and really enjoyed my night : the girl who took the glass was fab and certainly knew her stuff. We arrived early so had a few wines in the bar which was fab and the service was great. Will certainly be going back to try the food
Went for a quiet meal with my husband and decided to try somewhere different. This is mainly a wine bar with a small separate eating area. The decor is nice and contemporary and its in a great location 5 mins off Union Street. We both had the shared tapas platter starter and have now chosen our favourite items to try next time. We were not keen on one or two of the items but I think that is more personal taste as they were nicely presented. There is a limited bar menu but you can also choose from the more expensive menu from the restaurant downstairs, Prime Cuts. We both had the filet burger from the bar menu and it was delicious. Our service was a little slower than the manager would have liked to have provided but this was because the downstairs restaurant was extremely busy which impacted on their food. It did not spoil our meal at all. The manager was very apologetic for this and I would guess it would be much quicker on another night. We were there on a Saturday at peak time but in no hurry. They have a superb wine list and you can choose wines by the glass that you would not normally be able to. We will be going back as we enjoyed the food very much. I woudl recommend this restaurant for a nice leisurely meal with partners or friends. Not ideal for children.
I preferably look for restaurants outside the main-streets. This place in Aberdeen is for sure well worth a visit. The bar is co-operating with the restaurant in the same house (The Prime Cuts) and the the bar-menu is fairly small, but high quality. The Corn-fed Chicken dish was very well made and tasted excellent. The bar has a good selection of wines, both white and red, with a portion of odd wines which you do not find very often. Of course, to be in Scotland, the bar has quite a lot of whiskies. The establishment opened 4 months ago and seemed to have started to become known as the bar became quite full. You can go here for a drink or two before you go down to the restaurant The Prime Cut. The waiter was very observant and took very good care of all the guests. Price-wise it was more slightly above medium, but it was well worth it.
