Good selection of beer ranging from Czech lager to sour ale. Menu is a carbon copy of that of the London draft house. Nothing wrong with that but would be nice to see more local dishes. Since it's Aberdeen maybe get rid of pie and mash in favour of mince and tatties. Service was excellent really friendly staff that seemed to really enjoy their job. 10 out of 10.
Lovely, Cozy and Homely Nothing better to see religious buildings converted into something more useful, a pub, restaurant. The Hop Anchor has a good selection of drinks from artisan beers to find and whisky's. Staff are friendly and approachable with a good arrangement of seating on 2 levels. Great interior design and cozy factor 10. Recommendations Fully recommended if your in Aberdeen, not to miss and close the the centre and station. #localguides #garystribe #aberdeen #pubs
Great beers, and excellent service. Great mood, an not overcrowded. Great pub.
Good choice of beer able to book a table which is nice. Food was good, nice atmosphere and decor
Everything we asked for on the menu beer and food wise was unavailable despite the place being empty and having a very small menu. The bill came to £41 for 2 beers a burger wings and chips. When the wings arrived we were served a small portion and we paid for a regular, when we said we ordered a regular they took the wings away and spent 20 minutes preparing the regular portion which only happened to be two extra wings. When my partners wings arrived i had finished my meal. I understand hospitality is a hard industry and mistakes happen, but there are better ways to go about things, and considering we were the only people in the place eating we didn’t think it would be that much or a stress. Would’ve appreciated to keep the first portion of wings and to have the extra amount served to us when it was ready so we could at least eat together.
