The Scone Yon Tea Room - Aberdeenshire

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon with my two young daughters and the overall experience was fantastic. The kids enjoyed their own mini Afternoon Teas, served on adorable tiered cake stands. My partner loved the Brie and Cranberry toasted sandwich, which was incredibly tasty. I opted for the chicken and bacon salad, which was generous in size and freshly prepared. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The restaurant has a charming and cozy atmosphere, and the service was prompt and attentive. I would definitely recommend stopping by for a visit.

I am pleased to say that the new owners are continuing the excellent work that Carole did! This was our first visit since the restaurant changed hands and we were happy to see that there is still a wide selection of gluten-free and vegan options, if not more! I have a severe gluten intolerance and my husband is lactose intolerant, so eating out can be very limited for us. We were dining with my stepchildren, a tween and a teenager, so finding a place that pleases everyone can be challenging. We didn't make a reservation (which is a mistake on Saturdays), so we had to wait a bit for a table, but it was worth it! I had the gluten-free afternoon tea and it was absolutely delicious! The cafe has a charming atmosphere, delicious food, and does a great job catering to allergies.

My boyfriend and I had afternoon tea at this cafe today and we were blown away. The food was amazing, the prices were reasonable, and there were plenty of vegan options to choose from. The owners of the cafe were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and you could tell that they really care about their business and their customers. They even gave us some extra sandwiches to take home and a delicious blueberry vegan croissant. We absolutely loved this cafe and highly recommend it. It's so important to support local businesses during these times, especially when the owners are as wonderful as these people. Thank you for a fantastic lunch, we will definitely be returning. I would particularly recommend this place to any vegans - the afternoon tea and cakes were some of the best I've had in years, especially the lemon cake which was unbelievable. The attached picture shows that everything in the afternoon tea is vegan - just amazing!

This is such a beautiful family ran little tea room. Very clean, bright and inviting. Staff are extremely friendly, polite, welcoming and attentive, nothing is too much for them. The afternoon tea is to die for. All the food is freshly made and you can really tell. The sandwiches are delicious with a great choice of fillings. The scones with clotted cream and jam are so light and more ish and the cakes are amazing. The tea is also really nice and refreshing. Will definitely be coming again soon. 5 stars all round!

Absolutely amazing tea shop. Recommended in a gluten free group as we were visiting the area. So glad we found it, so cute inside and the ladies that run it were so accommodating. Will definitely be visiting again
