Frekkles Coffee Lounge - ABERFOYLE PARK

We decided to grab brekkie to go from here. We had a big night the night before and didn't really want to resort to the maccas drive thru, so we came across this little place. I had a freshly squeezed juice with apple, carrot, celery and ginger which was really good. My fiancé had a banana smoothie which he also said was really good too, with nice and chunky banana bits. The hashbrowns were really good too, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle... but who can stuff up a hashbrown, really? We both got croissants which were really good too. I had ham cheese and avocado, delish! I'd be interested to have lunch or afternoon tea or coffee here to see if it is really as bad as the other reviews.

When there's nothing else available then it'll have to do, but it wouldn't be your first (or even second) choice. As someone else noted there's a smell of fried something when you first walk in, we had trouble finding a table not covered by crumbs and the coffee is fairly tasteless. Their gimmick is that they put a chocolate freckle on your saucer, but times must be tough because there's a sign on the counter: "Please ask if you would like a complimentary freckle with your coffee " Eh? Either it's complimentary or not.

Been here for coffee once, will not return, the place smells fishy, even the mygs have the fish smell, it's not appealing and is overpriced tastless coffee.

It's a local cafe, quite a comfy spot for catching up as they have a couple of sofas.
