D & K Outpost - Abilene

I ordered “shrimp scampi” here, expecting a nice hearty meal. What I received was 6 shrimp with sprinkled cheese. No pasta or sauce. If I knew this dinner item was so wrongly priced I would have never ordered it. I complained to the owner about such an absurd price, and she did nothing about it. I just got flamed out for “not knowing how to read the menu” and payed for my food, leaving pretty mad that night. My buddy almost ordered the same exact thing not knowing he’d get ripped off, but he lucked out. That just tells me I’m not the only one expecting a pasta meal for such a price.

Very nice friendly place. They will even let you use their microwave without a purchase. The shell across the street won't let you use the microwave period for outside food which is bad for travelers who have their own food.

Actually just stopped to get gas but the woman that was working night shift we told her we were traveling across country and she could tell we was tired she was telling us places to stop to get a room and just the friendliness from her was amazing people like that are rare but next time we're stopping in to sit for a few

Very friendly servers! She checked on me multiple times during the busy lunch hour. Food is good would recommend anytime!
