Jay’s Bbq Shack - Abilene

As a chef and a BBQ enthusiast, I can confidently say this is the best barbecue I've ever had! The brisket was exceptional, featuring a smoke ring that was truly impressive, and I can't even begin to describe how amazing the burnt ends were! The turkey was fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable too. What a fantastic dining experience—consider me a devoted fan!

I discovered this restaurant by chance, and I couldn't be happier. Their brisket is bursting with flavor and never dries out. I haven't come across a dish I've disliked yet. It has long since become my favorite BBQ spot, and everyone I bring along agrees it's the best. The Sterns, who run the place, are truly some of the nicest people you'll meet, and it's great to see them thriving. Visit for the delicious food and enjoy the warm atmosphere filled with jokes and smiles.

My wife and I tried this restaurant for the first time today for lunch. We ordered the Shackanator, brisket tacos, and the brisket Frito pie, and WOW! This is probably the first food review I've ever written, but I just had to share my experience. If I could give you 10 stars, I absolutely would. Great job, Jay's BBQ!

I like that all of the specials are something unique. Today I had the brisket guisada tacos and they were very good. I highly recommend Jay’s.

Can’t go wrong with anything you order. Ribs are amazing awesome flavor and always tender!! Brisket is lean but not dry. Brisket chili frito pie is great if you are wanting a change of pace. Cheer wine pulled pork needs to be a daily menu item!
