Sonic Drive-in - Abilene

Eating was terrible! chickenslinger tasted as if it was hours old to sit under the heat lamp. bun was hard like a rock. Pickle-Fries were done so, there was no pickle just salty brot! the difference in food quality among all sonic’s in abilene, tx is ridiculous. they should all taste the same. but they don't! the best thing if you go to an abilene sonic is just a drink.

It is amazing how complicated shakes are for these people. I have read the menu word for word 3 times and they have got my order to visit incorrectly on 3 separate. a small reese erdnus butter was an order. I also had to lay down my other order so that hopefully it could not be grounded, I once said a chocolate oreo shake, but it is super important that they go slowly and ask for a chocolate shake, made with oreos in it. but I feel bad for the single out of this sound because they seem to make at least one job at each location f. and I can promise them it's not I'm super patient and I try to make it as easy as possible yesterday was the threat that the check camels broke and I had to ask here.

I ordered a hamburger at this restaurant and was disappointed to find only two small pieces of lettuce and a thin slice of tomato that looked like it should have been discarded. The portion was not worth the price I paid. Next time, I will take a photo of it and post it online. I prefer not to complain in person, but it's frustrating when my sandwich doesn't match the picture on the menu. It shouldn't be so difficult to get my order right the first time.

The food is always great! We typically order burgers, onion rings, and milkshakes. Each meal is consistently tasty, hot, and served quickly by the friendly staff. The ambiance of the restaurant is also lovely.

This Sonic has been great up until our last 2 visits. One being tonight, 1/15/22. We ordered 2 large waters and after one drink in each we felt something like a sandy texture in our mouths. We dumped the waters out to find some sort of yellow substance at the bottom. (See pics below). The visit before last we ordered a blast, unfortunately I didn’t take a picture thinking it was a fluke incident, but it seemed to be a piece of dirty paper towel that ended up in the blast. Luckily it wasn’t swallowed. I’m not sure if this is negligence or intentional but either way it should be resolved immediately. Sadly I can no longer trust this place as a safe place to eat or even simply get water from. Service has always been great but the quality and safety of even the water is now very concerning. I am posting this for people who continue to go so that they are aware and can look out for these sort of things. The last thing anyone needs is to become ill because of a water they ordered from sonic...
