The homemade bread on the catfish was light, crispy and had an excellent taste. The French frits had very tasty Cajun taste and the sweet tea was fresh. I definitely go back!
In the city for shops and decided to try this restaurant because it was nearby and looked interesting. Josh behind the bar beat the seafood pots cake but said it could be 20-25 minutes or so as they make it per serving. So satisfied I tried and was definitely worth waiting. Excellent taste, crispy baked crust. Very generous. Excellent service I am back!!
First from the bartender Josh. very passionate about his craft. The most amazing old fashion cocktail I ever had..we had the Boudin balls... delectable and spicy. as well as the Ettoufe... Shrimp was huge and fleshy and sauce was delicious and rice was excellent pallet cleaner... highly recommend this compound.
During the trip we came to this place happy us. Very friendly staff, the decor was cute to stay with a Cajun theme. We had a hot crab cancer diving with toast points as an appetizer delicious we also had a cup of rubber bears that was amazing. The prices were good and I can't say enough about the staff, I also met one of the owners super friendly. Next time I drive south, I will redirect myself so I can return, I would give this facility the rating of 10/10
Top notch flavors and menu! We had the Boudin balls, Snapper Étouffée and the Blackened Chicken Alfredo followed by the bread pudding for dessert. Every flavor was right on, and you can tell everything is made from scratch. Somewhere between comfort food and fine dining. Even with limited staff, we had great service. Abingdon has so many awesome restaurants, it’s hard to choose sometimes, but Papa Tom’s is def in our top 5.
