At least it was not spoiled and rancid like that at certain of the competition. ROLLS: Not the delicious South Philly type but fairly yummy nonetheless. CHICKEN: Loaded with gross, disgusting gristle. Off tasting. HOAGIES: Average quality cold cuts but acceptable overall. FRIES: Cardboard like in flavor and texture. Reheated from frozen. Applies to both the dinner an curly versions. CLEANLINESS: Little if any. The employees handle dirty money, carry trash bags, and wipe their brows yet never wash their hands. And scream and yell while they prepare food, which might cause their spittle to get into it although I have never actually witnessed it. PRICES: Very high considering the lower quality ingredients. SERVICE: Slow, tense, unmotivated, a bit rude at times. STORE: Not as clean as I would like. NEIGHBORHOOD: Safe, clean, beautiful. Three stars overall. You could do worse. But do not expect food quality that is anything near that at P 's or T L .
My Uncle flew in from Ireland for two weeks and he wanted to eat a cheesesteak before he flies home. Our usual spot (Steve's Prince of Steaks) doesn't deliver, and we did not feel like driving there to pick it up. I immediately went on Uber Eats searching for another option, and found this gem! We placed a large order (five cheesesteaks, all with their own customizations, two orders of french fries, and an order of Factory Fries). My family and I all loved our cheesesteaks and thought they were delicious!!
Not the best steak I've had, but not bad for being in suburban Philadelphia. It's decent and nearby my home, and that works for me.
Great experience. The young lady at the counter is always pleasant and smiling. Johnny makes and incredible chicken bacon ranch cheesesteak. I love Donkey's and Gaetano's in NJ but this place hits it out of the park. I enjoy a quiet lunch in the dining room and would highly recommend stopping in.
I can't tell if the roll's are made in house or not. They are nothing special to me but I am not a roll expert. The nice size bowl of different toppings mixed with Tater Tots is one word FANTASTIC. Hoagies Steakes topped with hot pepper jelly adds a nice flavoring of heat peppers you'll enjoy that topping if you enjoy hot peppers. Haven't had hot pepper jelly since my Italian Grandfolks made it when they got off the boat from italy. Years ago you found it more often in hoagie shops. Overall very good. Going back.
