Bambuco - Acapulco de Juárez

Bambuco Restaurant at Hotel El Cano for an excellent dinner. Waiting staff was great and our Paella was as we expected more than great.

Some of the dishes were included in the room rate. We ordered the special menu a few times. The fish was amazing. The desserts were great. I loved the egg ranchero style for breakfast. The location on the water was great.

I was in this hotel so food here was convenient. But for breakfast and lunch the buffet was not very good, so I decided to order a la carte. The fish tacos and other snacks that were decent. The view is amazing, so I wouldn't mind going back for drinks and some snacks.

We go to Elcano every year during our stay in Acapulco. The food is always consistent and the Sillios were the best this year. Enjoy a night at the hotel waiting for our apartment to fininshed and we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff is always helpful and there to serve you. Every Sunday there is a mass at 12:00, which is very comfortable.

This is a hotel restaurant; and thus expect steep prices. The menu is Spanish based: they are known for the paella. If you order off of the menu (not the buffet) you are guaranteed an excellent meal. Salads are fresh; love the mixed greens with...cashews/fruit/cheese; the entree menu is varied: pasta with shrimp/steaks/fish all with interesting sauces. A la carte menu will probably run about $50 u.s. for salad/entree/and don't miss their coconut ice cream. They also serve the usual club sandwiches/hamburgers/tuna salad. Breakfast is a choice between a mexican based buffet (about $18 u.s.)with fresh omelets or again order from the menu: try the stuffed waffles with nuts; or an omelet with cream cheese and spinach. The bad part:: the service: ....waiters standing around looking everywhere but at you. 5 people waiting on you and yet not one following up. You cannot be in a hurry. The other issue; the birds in the morning....they will swoop in and steal from the trays of cleared dishes; etc. The really good part: an AMAZING VIEW anytime of day.
