This is a fantastic place to see the divers in La Quebrada. Especially when the sun goes down, the view is great. The staff restaurant is friendly and service is very good. But food is only average. For international tourists quality should be in order (in comparison... to what they can find as Mexican food in their own countries), but for a true Mexican, quality is simply acceptable, nothing outstanding. There are various options for the menu: drinks only, or meal drinks. In both cases there is a fee for the divers' show, something about 12 usd. Don't come here for dinner, but come for the show and the spectacular view!
Please book a trip at this restaurant to see the Cliff Diver’s. Baldo at 744-160-1604 can arrange pick up city tour reservations etc. the seats were in the shade and the food and drinks were very good. It’s the best seat in the house to...watch the divers. Must See! Baldamar was the waiter and he was great
The La Perla restaurant is part of the famous Historic hotel El Mirador. It is located at la Quebrada in Acapulco. The restaurant has the best view of the famous Acapulco cliff divers and the seating at the restaurant is so well organised everyone at...the restaurant gets a perfect view. We paid US$47 each for two diving shows and a three course meal with hotel pick up and return, and booked through our hotel Emporio. To have two drinks included in the package the Emporio wanted to charge us an extra US$32 each FOR TWO DRINKS we declined their generous offer!!! The restaurant was lovely and in a beautiful spot and we enjoyed the short diving shows, 20 minutes and six dives in the first, then 15 minutes and five dives in the second. The dives are on the half hour every hour. If you blink you miss the dive, so stay focused. The meal! The meal and the service all were rather rushed. You select three courses from the choice of five, the meals though were rather bland and cold. As soon as you finished the entree, Main is dumped in front of you and the staff hover to grab your empty plate. We bought five drinks at the restaurant, a cocktail, two red wines, a beer and water and it came to a grand total of US$16 so a lot more reasonable. The staff pleaded for a big tip and looked sad when I only, only, gave 100 pesos approximately US$5. The atmosphere of sitting in the restaurant with a perfect view of famous cliff divers was utterly fantastic the execution of the meal was very bistro!!! I think it is an experience you must have in Acapulco but with an open mind of the rushed basics. 3.5 out of 5.
