Various savoury options and three cake options available on my visit mainly curry, chilli, veg burger. Cakes were chocolate, lemon or coconut choc tray bake. Squirty soya cream served with cakes. Individual cartons of soya milk for hot drinks. Dog friendly they gave him his own plate of biscuits. Parking available. Free WiFi.
Stopped at the Piping School Cafe while staying in Ullapool and exploring the stunning scenery of Assynt and Ross and Cromarty. Takeaway only at the moment but a nice choice of food and done really well. We drove a short way to a beautiful site overlooking the Summer Isles and watched dolphins, while eating our lunch. Gorgeous weather and no midges at the time.
Open for take out only but still providing a great service and food. We just had the homemade mackerel pate to take out with oat crackers and had some GF crackers too. And cheese and ham sarnies. Impressed as they’re in the middle of nowhere and some of the larger places we’ve visited couldn’t offer GF bread. Lovely lunch.
Sadly I missed my summer visits this year due to having to travel to the Far East. However a couple of weeks in October provided an opportunity for several visits to the Piping School Café before it closed for the winter. Excellent as always with all sorts of odd diets catered for brilliantly and menu items which without exception turn out to be much more generous than might be expected. Don't miss their Angus burgers and while we're at it, the chips here are amongst the very best you'll find anywhere in the world.
Good stopping off place to enjoy a reviving tea or coffee. Cakes were good. We were in middle of walk but the lunch menu also looked interesting
