Feedback gevenWe really enjoyed the food here. My lasagna was good. In fact, everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The portions were quite large and this little restaurant had a great atmosphere. There was often a line in front of this find so be sure to account for that when you come to visit.
The hostess literally pulled us in and seemed to be really good! Our expectation was high with all interesting things she told us We were seated by an entrance, orders were taken and took a while to come. First meal came, then another 2 meals came, then a fourth meal came. The meal for the 5th person came only after everyone finished their meals. Pizza was good, pasta sauce tasted like it was out of a can. Egg shells found in the carbonara pasta. Table next to us also waited over 40mins to come. Hostess was informed of issues but nothing was done. We were also charged a service fee. When walking out we noticed the Trip advisor service excellence award for 2013 !! We asked the hostess to remove it as they were not living up to the standards met in 2013. We will not be back.....ever
In Australia we are served a very americanised version of pizza a base as thick as a mattress and a half foot of something they say is mozzarella. So sad I have to come all the way to Vico to eat pizza the way it should be cooked. This place was local, friendly, accomodating and the food was bellissimo. Thin crust with rocket and tomato was fabulous but the pizza margherita was perfection. Nice atmosphere and good, hot, fresh pizza. On the subject of sweet dolce they also made pizza balls dipped in hot nutella for dessert no idea how many calories but it was interesting to try once. I am sure any hazelnut addicts would not be able to stop at just one.
