The ordered items were different from the description in the menu. The a/c did not work and the restaurant was very unpleasant and hot. The wood burning stove was not ready for operation, so all menu items were prepared in a kitchen oven. The only waiter in the restaurant was the owner. The worst part of dinner is when I got the bill. I almost fell off my chair. Ah!
Wow. It should be a Father's Day. What it happened was one of the worst experiences we ever had. The air conditioning was outside, but no one told me, although I had spoken to three different people in the restaurant. There were not many people in the restaurant, but the service could not have been slower. No one came to us and we had to find the waiter to get drinks. We waited almost an hour for our food after the order. And no one came by again to see if we need anything. While the manager sat at a table where we eat, drink and talk to people. One bright spot was the food. When we finally got it, it was delicious. But there's nothing that would make me come back here. I was embarrassed by the choice of Serafinas and apologized for all in my party.
Service was great, the food was delicious. Would definitely go back!
Visited Serafina's Italiano, Cucina and Vino on Midway in Addison. This was formerly the location of Ferrari’s Italian Villa which they apparently took over in late 2021. I would strongly recommend you try this restaurant the food was outstanding and service good. It is a large restaurant but with very high ceilings, so the noise level was very comfortable which I find difficult to find these days. The decor was tastefully done, softly lighted and relaxing. They also served excellent seasoned flat bread with an olive oil dip as soon as we were seated. We had a party of four and tried a variety of dishes including, Crispy Calamari and Beef Carpaccio appetizers, Gorgonzola Wedge and Caesar Salad, Veal Chop with Fettuccine Carbonara, Papareddeli ala Serafina with a Bolognese, Veal Scallopini Limone and Grilled Lamb chops with Four Cheese Gnocchetti. Everything was prepared exactly as we asked and was delicious. The wine list was well laid out with a very reasonably priced (many under $50) selection of domestic and Italian wines. We will be going back regularly and so will our friends. This restaurant was a very welcome new addition for us at a time when good restaurants are very hard to find.
We were treated so well on our anniversary! They definitely made us feel special with personal touches, Loved the crab legs appetizer so much!!
