The place itself is a little hard to find, as it's hidden in a side street, and parking could be an inconvenience. That aside, it's a very quaint little restaurant, and the owner was very nice and there to greet us as soon as we opened the door! When I came, the restaurant wasn't busy, so I would say it'd be easy to get a table here for sure! In terms of the food, the stir-fried rice cake was very filling, and as both dishes were for myself, I definitely didn't need the 2nd dish. The rice cake was very soft but still chewy/bouncy, and the spicy sauce was on the milder side, so if you can't handle spices well, I think this should be ok, personally, I'd prefer it to be spicier. The fish cake was also very soft, and didn't have the "off" fishy taste, which some places have, so I appreciated that! The japchae was ok, it wasn't anything special, and it was a little too oily for my liking, but definitely not inedible! The prices are decent for the serving size; you could probably get better deals for the same thing in the Chinatown food courts however. That said, I do recommend giving this place a try :)

This little spot is hidden off Pirie street in the city so would be overlooked and missed if you don't know about it. It's really nice Korean food without the thrills, service is a little slow as there are minimal staff but worth the wait. Check it out
Stopped by at this place for lunch. It wasn't busy during the day but it took while till the food served on our table. The first came was royal court stir as entree. The portion was small. On the menu is written stir fried rice cake with beef, mushroom and assorted vegetables in a soy sauce. But I didn't see mushroom or vegetables. I am quite familiar with this food, known as Topokki and based on my culinary experience it supposed to be spicy but at seoul resto they made it sweet, too sweet for me..actually the rice cake was nice but unfortunately it's just too sweet and the portion was small. For main course we picked lunch menu, Bulgogi and Japchae.. served in a bento, with rice, beansprout, kimchy and broth. Beef bulgogi quite nice but a bit sweet, Japchae which is potato noodle wasn't really good, the taste was different unlike japchae that I had at many places. For kimchy wasn't really hot. I wish seoul could offer authentic korean food..just keep the... read more
Seoul Korean is hidden away in an alleyway and I suspect that's largely why the restaurant was empty when we visited for dinner. The food was not particularly outstanding, but it was not bad. I tried the cold noodles, which came at an absolutely massive serve of noodles, but without enough toppings to even out. I ended up only eating half of the noodles. The noodles had a nice bitey texture and were cooked well. The broth was lovely and delicate, and not overly salty like how it often is. It was served with half a tiny hard boiled egg, which had been so overcooked the edge of the yolk had turned grey - not a particularly appetising appearance. I also tried what I thought was a vegetable dumpling due to the green coloured filling, but I think the filling had minced pork mixed in as it was rather chewy. The dumpling was bland and the skin was thick and a little tough. I would recommend giving this a skip. I might come back and try their bibimbap as it looks... read more
