Was the award winning burger good? Yes actually pretty good. Was it amazing? Probably not, and the patty was v small. Would we go to the pub again? Nope, no matter whether the burger was good, bad or otherwise! It’s got nothing that sets it aside from any other modern/no-charm pub, the service was flustered and the table we booked wasn’t on the list when we arrived. Easier to go to McDonald’s…..!?!?!

We had an early light dinner here on Saturday night, the service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu is pub food with lots of choice but with a restaurant feel. Our meal came in good time and was very good. A very enjoyable pub for a meal or just for a drink. Lots of outside space (not for a cold July evening! but in summer would be fabulous , great location, overall I would highly recommend this venue :

The food menu was a great surprise for a pub to have. Very central location, on Hindmarsh square. I had the Coorong mullet for something different and it was fantastic. It will be a great place to meet up after work in the warmer months.

New owners are transforming this well located and very comfortable space. We stopped in for a drink and stayed for a meal. I enjoyed grilled fish and chips served with a refreshing salad and bangers and mash were ordered and greatly enjoyed at our table. We were told beef sausage was used and there is a plan to make it more traditional with pork sausage. Date pudding and coffee to finish the well prepared dinner were beautifully presented and absolutely hit the mark. We were told a new chef is now on premises and the menu will be polished up to the same level as the space. We were told private party room to accommodate up to 300 guest. Such a comfortable space for drinks and a meal. We will be returning.

After recently hold my birthday bash for approximately 90 people, I couldn’t be happier with how it all went from the planning to the end. The venue was perfect, the food was exceptional and the staff were amazing! I can’t recommend the balcony bar at The Griffins highly enough.
